You are here: What We Do

What Does AAPPD Do?

Some of you may remember a time when people with disabilities were committed to state institutions or cold, sterile facilities that in many ways resembled prisons.

Fortunately times have changes; today, all AAPPD members are contracted by the State of Arizona to provide care and programs to people with disabilities.

What we do matters. Here’s why...

For Families

If you or a family member is disabled, what we do matters because it is your quality of life that we fight to protect.

Baby GirlWe’re behind-the-scenes doing whatever is necessary to make your life fulfilling. We’re front and center, making a whole lot of noise to be heard on your behalf.

We’re your coach, cheerleader, guide, and biggest fan. We’re here to support you, and we encourage you to ask questions and share what’s on your mind.

Be sure to read more about the services we provide, to check out the frequently asked questions page in the family section, and to search our provider directory for the disability services you need.

For Service Providers

If you’re a provider, what we do matters because we’re advocating on your behalf.

Service Provider TransportWe’re your guide. We’re your Think Tank. We’re your mentor, cheerleader, and networking machine.

We keep you up-to-date on important news, we challenge you at workshops, we share ideas, and we encourage you to speak your mind.

If you’re thinking about joining AAPPD we’d love to have you.

Before you complete the member registration form, be sure to read more about the Member Benefits and to scan our frequently asked questions.
